Amazon.com Review After years of spiritual study and reflection, inspirational speaker and bestselling author Wayne Dyer has emerged a highly esteemed teacher. His current message about tapping into the power of intention may sound like good old positive thinking: just stay focused on what you want, rather than focusing on the lack of having what you want. But the teaching here goes deeper than just controlling thoughts (although he does acknowledge that thought control is a surprisingly challenging and significant endeavor). This book might help readers land a better job, but it's more relevant for those who are ready to detach from an ego-driven life filled with quick fixes of happiness and step into a more authentic, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling life. His core teachings speak to tapping into a universal source of energy that can also be called the "power of intention." He calls people who are consciously co-creating with this energy source "connectors" and describes them as "individuals who have made themselves available for success...They don't say With my luck things won't work out. Instead, you re more likely to hear something like, I intend to create this and I know it will work out." Connectors are also committed to Dyer's "seven faces of intention"--creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance and receptivity, which he speaks to throughout the book. Each chapter concludes with five suggestions for becoming stronger connectors, such as how to monitor one's inner speech or shift out of low-energy beliefs. Some criticize Dyer for not giving credit to other teachers who offer this same message, especially Jerry and Esther Hicks (A New Beginning I) and even Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's impossible to know whether this was a deliberate omission, but it is obvious that Dyer has tapped into a growing conversation about co-creating with "source." Other leading-edge voices in this conversation include Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now), Shakti Gawain (Creative Visualization ) and Lynn Grabhorn (Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting). --Gail Hudson
Product Description Intention is generally viewed as a pit-bull kind of determination propelling one to succeed at all costs by never giving up on an inner picture. In this view, an attitude that combines hard work with an indefatigable drive toward excellence is the way to succeed. However, intention is viewed very differently in this book. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer has researched intention as a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. This book explores intention not as something you do but as an energy you re a part of. We re all intended here through the invisible power of intention. This is the first book to look at intention as a field of energy that you can access to begin co-creating your life with the power of intention. Part I deals with the principles of intention, offering true stories and examples on ways to make the connection. Dr. Dyer identifies the attributes of the all-creating universal mind of intention as creative, kind, loving, beautiful, expanding, endlessly abundant, and receptive, explaining the importance of emulating this source of creativity. In Part II, Dr. Dyer offers an intention guide with specific ways to apply the co-creating principles in daily life. Part III is an exhilarating description of Dr. Dyer s vision of a world in harmony with the universal mind of intention.

Intention and The Power of Thought November 29, 2008 A. Appleman A well-written book and easy read, pointing out that living life with intention is truly the key to getting that life of joy and abundance. It is basically the principles of The Secret... aka The Law of Attraction. Choose those thoughts of appreciation, desire and thankfulness and the universe will bring you the life you want. It's about living consciously and taking responsibility for your life. Meditation is the tool that has really transformed my life. Read this book and then get a fabulous meditation CD by the author of the popular-selling book, Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook, called Living The Secret Everyday:My Secret Mediation to keep reminding you to be mindful and conscious. It is life-changing.
The Power of Intention November 25, 2008 L. Middleswart (Indianola, Iowa) I had the DVD but wanted to get it on cassete tapes to listen to more often. The tapes were the same title but the information was presented differently and didn't have the same impact as the DVD. The tape is metaphysical and encourages an awareness of the source of life, health & prosperity. Examines who we are, where we came from and where we're going. If the premise is exercised daily it should reduce stress and help us achieve our goals. Not a religious tape but incorporates spirituality from many sources.
Attract Success Now November 13, 2008 Nicolas Nobile (Boulder, CO) I have had the honor of meeting Wayne on a couple of occasions, and he is a enlightened being full of integrity and love, his work will continue inspiring generations yet to come. Thank you my friend for such an amazing contribution to this world in need of such powerful consciousness awakening. A must-read for those who want to manifest the successful life they dream of.
Simply Remarkable November 6, 2008 Christopher M. Mchugh Dr. Wayne Dyer's works are truly remarkable. The Power of Intension is no exception in my opinion. Dyer, never makes any attempt to claim that he discovered, or has any rights to the concept, in fact Dyer is simply translating the most ancient phylisophical ideas into words that we, as Westerners can comprhend. If read thoughtfully Dyer explains that despite the most horribe occurances that can befall us such as death, natural disaster, etc. that these events happen for a reason that often times leads us toward our vision (for good, or for bad). Although what Dyer has to say is not unique, it is undeniably a universal truth that offers a refreshing alternative to living every day as you did the day before. In this book Dyer offers thinking strategies that will help you appreciate the true blessing of what it means to be alive and the joy and curiousity that you haven't felt since you were a child.
Have not read yet October 24, 2008 Lloyd Smith (Florida) Not much of a review, bought it at a good price, public tv donation was too much in this slow economy, your price was much better
